Limerence is described as an involuntary, obsessive state of intense infatuation; it's more all-consuming than love and can be a whole lot more addictive, whether it's for partners, love interests, or a celebrity online. It's something many experience at least once in their lifetime.

For Chicester's The Ingrid, it's a beautiful ache of humanity in the form of their debut single ‘Limerence’ whose lyricism sweeps the listener away from the get-go.

With its whimsical yet aching lyricism all about self-sabotage through obsession whether its for better or for worse (if we were face to face i’d fall for you/i put it behind me because I'm scared of myself) and  set to a dreamy soundscape of nostalgia tinged reverb guitars, soft as a cloud percussion,’Limerence’ is stand out debut single  in what can be an isolating season for many and is a brilliant showcase of The Ingrid’s potential to be superstars in the eyes of fans of The Cranberries and Slowdive.

This is pure artistry overall, from its instrumentation and arrangement to its aching vocal delivery and poetic yet conversational lyricism, each layer placed with such delicate care and appreciation. A track all should lend an ear to whatever the weather.
