//Song Review\\ Mars Blossom enchants with debut single 'Come and Haunt Me'

Love can be many different things, for some it's delicate and soft, for others it's overwhelming and passionate: in the case of ‘Come and Haunt Me’, the debut single from Manchester soft pop artist, Mars Blossom, it is bittersweet.

From the get-go this song wraps you up in rich storytelling of a love that is both passionate and haunting in nature, capturing every part of your being like it’s their own.

The musicality of the track captures this brilliantly, with rich and reverb guitar and bass lines and rustling drums which complement the beauty and the pain embodied within the song’s sweet yet dark lyricism. This is particularly shown within the song’s bridge and final section where ‘Come and Haunt Me’ becomes more of a deep-rooted experience than just a phrase sung and is reminiscent of the vocal style of Ethel Cain (Preachers Daughter) who is clearly an influence when listening to this track.

Overall, ‘Come and Haunt Me’ is an amazing embodiment of the intensity of love and the experience it can be and is a must-listen for lovers of the Valloween aesthetic and music that takes you on an emotional journey.

This is only the beginning for Mars Blossom, and I’m sure there is much more to come.
