Corella with support from Release and Puppet Theory-02 March 2018
After a busy week,we all need that extra push towards the weekend and Corella is that extra push.Within 3 excellent bands on the line up,it was certain to be an epic show for all.
First on the line up was Release, who as soon as they had walked on stage they were in control of both the stage and the crowd, with odd song titles and constant energy Release were so crazy and witty that you couldn't keep your eyes off of them as at times they muck around while they played including the multiple times the lead singer lifted up the microphone stand trying to balance it as he sang, and even though you couldn't always hear what he was singing,it didn't matter you were mesmerised by what was going on stage,Release were a band with a cool twist of a violinist that made their performance even more exciting, the crowd danced to every single song Release played.at times the crowd were frantic with excitement. However, that's no't to say Release couldn't slow it down of course as they played plenty of meaningful songs which the crowd reacted well to. Release were constantly full of energy and were going to be a hard act to follow.
Second on the line up was another favourite of the crowd,Puppet Theory, who had a tough act to follow, pulled it out of the bag very quickly from the first beat of upcoming new song release 'Mascara' the crowd were on their feet and singing along even when they didn't know the words.'I, The king' was energetic and powerful and rang clear to the crowd, every lyric crystal clear and welcomed excitedly by the dancing crowd.Every song that Puppet Theory played the crowd went crazy and danced along with all they had,'Drifting was very popular with the crowd, not one person stood still,by the end of their set the crowd were screaming for more,a constant competition between the music and the crowd fighting for dominance through every song creating a fantastic symphony of sound.
The crowd for Corella was every bands dream, not one empty, blank face in the room, every face had a genuine smile on and the band welcomed it gladly, encouraging the crowd to keep the energy with witty comments from the lead singer like 'you all ready to get a bit hotter?' which the crowd screamed back to 'Yes' it was like crazy and every beat was felt and accepted by the crowd, you could feel the bands adrenaline through you're veins just by watching them.anything the band threw at them the crowd welcomed with open arms. With an excellent mix of new and old tracks and a dedicated energetic crowd Corella are an unstoppable force, they were energetic and had a fantastic stage presence, every lyric was chanted back to them by what sounded like a thousand voices.
Corella were a show stopper and with a crowd of dedicated fans they really could go places.
