The Tailormade interview

From being named 'Best Buskers in London' by Boris Johnson to performing for a crowd of 20,000 people at London Pride in 2016,2018 is sure to be 'Tailormade' for this excellent band. I interviewed The Tailormade about their formation,who they would love to tour with and performing at London Pride in 2016.

Where did the name come from?

We started off with a completely different name and needed a new name as the old one was just ridiculous. We were sat in Weatherspoon's brainstorming ideas, since we liked dressing smart and putting our own twist on songs the Tailormade were made.

How did you feel when you found out you had been crowned 'Best Buskers in London'?

It was an amazing day, there's a photo somewhere and we all look like we're gonna burst into tears. It was our first recognition as a band and we never thought we'd win so it was such an amazing feeling.

How long have you all known each other? Do you feel that being friends before has helped the band thrive?

;

We've known each other for seven years and been doing the music for 4 now. We were best mates for the whole of uni before and then at the end of uni we decided to start the band up. I think cause we were friends first that's really helped as we're all in the same boat and in it for the same reasons.

If you had the chance to tour with any artist ,alive or dead who would you want to tour with?

If it was alive it would have to be Ed Sheeran, I think that'd be a wicked tour. If it was dead I think one of the Icons like Elvis, Otis Redding or MJ would be amazing. See how it's done.

How did it feel performing to 20,000 people at London pride in 2016? Do you feel your music has changed since then?

That was one of the most unreal feelings ever, such an amazing crowd and response. Since we've performed we have adapted and we've got more of a full band sound rather than just acoustic.
