Introducing:Hayes & Y interview
Hayes & Y are a unique band in many ways, with members coming from as far as bulgaria and finland and a sound that is very dinstinct.
Here they are in there own words.
Hayes and y who are you?
What are the your main influences as a band? We have a lot of different influences among them are Tame Impala, Tears for Fears and Foals to name a few.
When did the band form? The band originally formed way back around 2008, starting out as a way for a couple of high schoolers to pass the time. As the years (and different drummers) went by, we decided that creating music meant more to us than a mere hobby and so we channelled all of our passion and time into the band. In reality the band really began to take shape around 2013 when we started to gig heavily and later on went to record our first EP but it wasn’t until we met our current drummer Dennis that we truly felt we fit together as a single unit.
what is one word you would use to describe your music? Vibrant
what roles does everyone play in the band? All of us try to contribute to everything. We live together and record in our home.
any fun facts about the band? We moved to the UK for its amazing music scene 2 years ago and can’t wait to make a contribution.
who inspires you most? Our parents. They’ve been incredibly supportive of our choices.
what is the best gig you have played so far? Supporting Kasabian. Best night of our lives.
