//Song Review// Raye Robinson reminisces with addictive debut track 'Daises'
'Daisies' is the debut single of LA indie-pop artist Raye Robinson. The single is the first from her upcoming EP ‘Crushes & Love Songs’ and discusses the familiar dilemma of falling out of love but missing the connection when it’s gone.
‘Daisies’ begins softly in tone with meaningful lyrics put to minimalistic piano giving the impression this song is going to be a simple sweet as candy anthem however surprises you with a burst of energy and punch with an addictive hook of powerful bass infused piano and lyrics that you’ll be singing at the top of your lungs in your kitchen for at least a week. Whether you are heartbroken or happily in love, ‘Daisies, asking if you hate me? Do you blame me for letting you go’ is universal in its poetry.
This track has the potential to blow up especially with the use of the common romance flower trope of does he love me, does he not, and it would not be a surprise if it were to become the next Tik Tok hit along with hits such as ‘Driver’s license’ by Olivia Rodrigo and ‘Cloud 9’ by beach bunny thanks to the track’s infectious energy and addictive lyricism similar to that of Olivia Rodrigo as well as early Billie Eilish and Lilly Allen
Raye Robinson is going to rocket to the moon, blink and you’ll miss the magic.
