Music is something that is meant to be felt deep in the soul, to bring light to the dark and to comfort when everything feels a bit too much.

The latest single from Glasgow alt-rock band Velvet, ’Spine’ is exactly this type of track.

‘Spine’ delivers gritty realism through its rough vocals and jagged instrumentation alongside lyrics that pack a punch of angst and grunge influence that is perfect for fans of Fontaines DC, Black Country New Road and Declan Welsh and The Decadent West (and talking/singing style delivery).

This single is melancholic, in the best way possible, it’s perfect if you need some comfort in the darkness or a track to let it all out to.

'Spine' is so strong within its delivery and is a must if you’re looking for music of the post-punk variety.
