The Bright Black with support from Livvo+Ragged Tiger -Review

Its a dark night in september, and in the corner of Manchester,a local band lights up the city with colour and groove and sends the night off with a spring in its step.A band called the bright black are the owners of that groove.

The first act of the night was a Livvo, one man with a guitar.but he wasn't one to be underestimated, from the get go he had everyone engaged with powerful vocals and full control of the stage. Its amazing the power one person can have over a crowd.Throughout his set you could hear the passion within his voice and the way he played, and it showed just how close to his heart the songs he was singing were, everything he sang was filled with emotion, even if it was a happy song. There was a good mix of upbeat and low songs and each one matched well and not one note was missed throughout the whole set.Not only did he fill the room with his music but he also showed his personality in between songs. He really set the tone for the show, excited and pumped.

He really is one to watch out for in the future.

Next on the bill was Ragged Tiger, who at first did have some technical issues before they started to perform, however, they didn't let it hold them back. From the first note,it was their moment, the crowd completely focused on them,by the end of the first song everyone was clapping and dancing along.Every song flowed well into another and this could easily be down to the excellent chemistry of the band, with powerful solos they packed a punch and never missed a beat when it came to moving along to the music and you could feel every note through the floor. The lead singer had total control of the crowd and he was a great leader to the 3 musketeers within the band. They were and could very easily become even more unstoppable in the next few years, another very tough act to follow.

The final band were the funky headliner The Bright Black who didn't hold anything back.Lead singer travis has the crowd moving and singing along from the first beat of the song.Every song seemed to be a crowd favourite ,however midnight got the best response from the audience.Every note gave the crowd more energy to keep dancing along. It wasn't justt the crowd with good chemistry, the band were always in sync and weren't afraid to play around on stage. In fact, every time the lead singer moved the crowd would go wild, even though some had seen his moves before as this show had a mixed crowd of new and old fans, both dedicated as each other. There really was something for every fan in fact,as the band had a mixed set of new, recent releases and old favourites. The highlight of the show for me was thye love given to the drummer by the crowd, shouts of 'Harry' rang through the venue along with 'one more song' at the end of the set and the band delivered with 'Strike a pose' and it did not dissappoint.

All three bands gave 110% may be more throughout their sets and every band was worth watching,

This line up is one to watch, any of the 3 have the potential to get to the top.
