living off broccoli forever,a calendar filling up with gigs and releases and head for the hills festival, what do these three things have in common?Fossette of course!
With the release of relapse drawing closer on the 12th February,Fossette are off to a busy 2018.
I interviewed Smudge and Theo about how Fossette got together, favourite venues and NO PEAS!.
when you sold out your Bristol headline show at the crofters rights in 2017 how did it feel?
Smudge -The buzz from our headline show still hasn’t faded away, it’s definitely going to show in our work this year which is quickly filling up with gigs and releases.
You guys played at Scruff of the neck's head for hill festival last year, what festivals do you hope to play this year?
Smudge - Head for the hills had such beautiful scenery surrounding the grounds. Festival number 6 looks like it’s a pretty sweet festival to play, in all honesty. I just enjoy getting on stage playing every set as if it’s the last.
What's been your favourite venue that you've played and why?
All the venues we play have something we love about them, they all have there own character and that’s why bands play at those venues. The Lincoln Imp in Scunthorpe was one of the warmest welcomes we have ever had, cups of tea upon arrival. I think smudge had a tear in his eye when they asked how we liked our tea but our favourite venue has to be the Louisiana, it just feels like home every time we play a show there.
how did you all know each other? were you friends before?
Theo - We all met each other at university except from Nic, he fell out of a packet of cigarettes. Not really, Smudge moved in with Nic last year and the rest was history. The wedding is in 2021.
if you could eat one food forever what food would it be?
Smudge - I think it’s a bit obvious it has to be broccoli, my diet consists of broccoli and cups of tea. Strictly NO PEAS.

Fossette's newest single 'Relapse' comes out on the 12th February
