The beginning has a slow build-up which intensifies the power of the song itself, and as soon as the vocals come in the emotion is felt immediately and can be heard and felt through the duration of the song.

The lyrics talk about a relatable subject that many understand, this subject is love and the pain it sometimes causes. When you love someone but they make it feel like you can't be yourself but you love another who lets you be free as heard in the lyrics 'when I'm with you, I can't speak' and 'when I'm with him, I'm allowed to breathe and without you, I feel free'. These lyrics are powerful and so full of pure emotion and passion and convey the pain of giving everything you've got and still being asked to give even more.
